Dr. Robyn O’Kane, DVM, MBA, PhD, is a compassionate veterinarian, visionary entrepreneur, and accomplished veterinary surgeon who brings a diverse and extensive background to the field of veterinary medicine. She holds dual DVM and MBA degrees from Colorado State University and a PhD in Physiology from the Chicago Medical School at Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science.
As the founder of My Kids Have Paws Veterinary Clinic, Dr. O’Kane has built one of northwest Georgia’s most successful and efficient veterinary practices. The clinic offers comprehensive services, including wellness care, emergency services, soft tissue surgeries, HQHVSN services, dentals, and mobile veterinary visits, with a mission to provide affordable, preventive care, reduce euthanasia rates, and promote animal welfare.
Prior to veterinary medicine, Dr. O'Kane taught Anatomy and Physiology to nursing students in Queens, NY. Her teaching experience enhances her ability to mentor her large team and educate pet parents. Known for her surgical precision, thoughtful approach to patient care, and mentorship, Dr. O’Kane inspires her team and the next generation of veterinarians to provide excellent and compassionate care.Â
Robyn lives in Georgia with her beloved family of rescue dogs, cats, cows, pigs, and donkey.
Robert Courtney draws on over three decades of leadership in veterinary and human medical care to deliver exceptional results for practices. As a seasoned healthcare CEO and entrepreneur, he has developed, owned, and led multiple practices, including general practice, urgent care, emergency, and multi-specialty care.
Robert leverages deep experience as a principal and advisor in successful practice sale-purchase transactions, combining his background as a former healthcare lawyer with expertise in commercial real estate, franchising, and clinic network development to achieve positive deal outcomes and synergistic transitions. A business model innovator, he excels in launching and scaling practices, with a proven track record of integrating extended-hours urgent care to drive significant revenue growth and enhance practice valuation. He has a history of partnering with dedicated, multi-cultural clinical teams to deliver excellence in patient care and sustained, market-leading growth.
A lifelong animal lover, Robert’s early experience breeding Saint Bernards and assisting his surgeon father with animal care and clinic operations continues to drive his commitment to high-quality, compassionate care. He lives in Florida with his wife and children and their Boykin Spaniel, Puddles.
Steve Kemph brings over two decades of operational leadership in veterinary and service industries, specializing in driving strategic improvements and operational excellence. His veterinary practice management experience spans general practice, urgent care, and emergency and specialty hospitals. Steve also has extensive experience navigating mergers and acquisitions transactions and leading seamless post-deal practice integrations.
As Vice President of Field Operations for Galaxy Vets and previously Director and Vice President of Operations at PetVet Care Centers, Steve honed his expertise in multi-site management, practice optimization, and organizational growth. During his six years at Banfield Pet Hospital, he designed and implemented impactful solutions as part of the Operations Support team, showcasing his ability to elevate performance and streamline processes.
Steve’s foundation in team leadership began as General Manager for Hertz Corporation in Central and South Texas, where he excelled for seven years. Known for his hands-on approach and results-driven mindset, Steve combines deep industry experience with a collaborative style, making him both a trusted leader and an approachable mentor.
Steve lives in Arizona with his wife, Lori, and their Standard Poodle, Aspen.
